We had some lovely feedback via emails and texts today from all the Father's Day cushions received. One particularly warmed my heart, this client was left by the father of her triplets, yes, triplets and she has now met a wonderful man who has stepped up to the plate and loving her and gorgeous tribe. Apparently he wiped away a tear when he read what she had written about him, men like that deserve praise, women who have survived that deserve praise. Life wasn't meant to be easy but we also meet the people we are supposed to meet for whatever reason, I truly do believe that. I really wanted to give away a fathers day cushion but didn't have time as I was absolutely flat out and didn't know who I'd choose to give it to. Last night after I made my post about my dad I came across a beautiful photo of a Dad with his baby up @ Bear Cottage in Manly. For those of you who don't know, Bear Cottage is a very special place that's dedicated to caring for children with life-limiting conditions and their families. My heart goes out to anyone going through something so terrifying as I nearly lost my Luke and know how lucky I am to have 5 healthy children. I downloaded the photo and made the cushion and popped it up there tonight with "Happy Father's Day" on it for that beautiful father. I burst into tears explaining to the nurse I don't know him, I was just so moved by the photo as I could see the grip in his hand holding his baby. I'm not telling you this for any sort of recognition.
